It’s been almost two years since I started learning English with Jesica. I had studied at a college in Canada and was already used to using English, but after returning to Korea, I wanted to continue using English regularly so I wouldn’t lose my fluency. That’s when I found Jesica. One of Jesica’s biggest strengths is that, in addition to having excellent pronunciation and grammar, she is very familiar with the expressions and slang that people actually use in everyday English. Because of this, I can learn English that feels natural and practical rather than just textbook English. I have free-talking lessons with Jesica every day, and we discuss a different topic each time. She is always friendly and makes the conversation feel very comfortable. She asks questions naturally and keeps the conversation going, so I never feel pressured about what to say. Every lesson feels enjoyable and natural. Most importantly, working with Jesica has changed the way I think about English. Instead of feeling like English is something I have to study, I now feel more comfortable simply using it and having conversations. Since we have been studying together consistently for almost two years, I can genuinely say that Jesica has helped me become much more confident and comfortable speaking English. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their conversational English in a natural and enjoyable way. 제시카와 함께 영어를 공부한 지 어느덧 2년이 되어 갑니다. 캐나다에서 컬리지를 다니면서 영어를 계속 사용했지만, 한국에 돌아온 후에도 영어를 잊지 않고 꾸준히 사용하고 싶어서 선생님을 찾게 되었습니다. 그렇게 만나게 된 선생님이 바로 제시카입니다. 제시카의 가장 큰 장점은 정확한 발음과 문법은 물론이고, 실제 영어권 사람들이 일상에서 사용하는 표현이나 요즘의 슬랭까지 자연스럽게 알고 있다는 점입니다. 그래서 교과서적인 영어가 아니라 실제 대화에서 사용할 수 있는 영어를 배울 수 있다는 것이 가장 좋았습니다. 저는 제시카와 매일 다른 주제로 프리토킹 수업을 하고 있는데, 제시카는 항상 친근하고 편안하게 대화를 이끌어줍니다. 제가 무슨 말을 해야 할지 고민하지 않도록 자연스럽게 질문을 이어가 주고, 대화가 끊기지 않도록 잘 이끌어주기 때문에 매 수업이 즐겁습니다. 무엇보다 제시카와 수업을 하면서 영어를 ‘공부해야 하는 것’이라기보다 ‘편하게 사용하는 것’이라고 느끼게 된 것이 가장 큰 변화인 것 같습니다. 오랫동안 꾸준히 함께하고 있는 만큼, 영어 회화를 자연스럽게 늘리고 싶은 분들에게 제시카를 정말 추천하고 싶습니다.

영어로 말할때 문법이나 단어들이 아는것도 생각이 안날때가 많았는데 수업을 하면서 바로 주시는 피드백을 통해 문법과 단어를 떠올리는 것이 쉬워졌습니다. 또, 프리토킹을 잘 하고 싶어서 다른 부가적인 영어공부도 하게 하는 동기부여가 생겼습미다.

안녕하세요. 저는 5년전 제시카의 학생이었던 하마드 입니다. 돌이켜보면, 제 해외에서의 삶은 제시카 덕분에 시작할 수 있었습니다. 저는 한국에서 태어났고 자랐지만, 좋은 기회로 어린 시절 미국에서 1년 반정도 유학을 했습니다. 그리고 돌아와서 한국에서 대부분의 학창시절을 보냈습니다. 이 기간 동안, 영어로 말하는 방법은 거의 다 잊고 한국식 교육에 익숙해져 읽지도 못하는 단어로 가득찬 구문을 독해하곤 했습니다. 그리고 대학에 들어가 제시카와 처음 수업을 시작했을 때, 버벅거리면서 제 생각을 명확히 전달하지 못했던것 같습니다. 제가 20대 초반 저를 위해 한 투자 중에서 제시카와 한 수업이 가장 효용이 컸다고 생각합니다. 이 수업 덕분에 영어 자체에 거부감이 없어졌고, 자연스럽게 영어가 제 삶의 한 부분으로 정착하면서 딱히 큰 노력 없이도 토익에서 높은 성적을 받게 되었고 이는 또다시 미군에서 카투사로 복무하는데 도움을 줬습니다. 그리고 이런 경험은 꼬리에 꼬리를 물 듯, 최근까지 해외에서의 추억으로 가득찬 삶을 살아가는데 기여했습니다. 저에게 제시카는 유능한 선생님뿐만 아니라 친한 친구였습니다.수업 중 그녀와 많은 사담을 나누었고, 제시카의 배려깊은 태도가 주저하지 않고 제 언어로 뱉어내는데 도움이 되었습니다. 언어 전공자로서 말씀을 드리자면, 기본 수준을 넘어가면 얼마나 많은 단어와 숙어를 아냐는 말하는데 크게 중요하지 않습니다. 모국어일지라도 실제로 말하는데 사람들은 많은 양의 단어와 숙어를 필요로 하지 않습니다. 그렇기 때문에 같은 상황이라도 나만의 단어, 나만의 숙어, 나만의 표현에 익숙해지는 것이 중요합니다. 그리고 친구로서 제시카는 이런 편안하게 말할 수 있는 경험을 만들어주는데 적합한 성격을 가지고 있습니다. When taking back, my journey to abroad started with the classes with her. tho i was born in korea, thankfully, i had a chance to study in USA when i was youn during 1 and half years. And spent almost of my teenager in korea after that. N this period in korea let me lose my ability to speak in eng. When i first met her, i wasnt able to convey my thought to her clearly. Among the self-investment which i did in life, the classes with her was the most profitable and helpful, Cuz thanks to her i was able to score high on TOEIC n it led to my mandatory service in the US army as a augmented sodier. N those experience once again led to another experience abroad and made my 20's flourish. Jessica is not only a talent tutor but also a considerable friend. I had a bunch of chances to talk with her privately by sharing her and my daily life, n i believe this helped me a a lot to speak naturally in ur own language. No matter how u learned vocas and idioms, ppl has their own tone and speed even in ur mothertongue. So it is important to find ur own tempo and language through speaking and spitting it.
