It’s been almost two years since I started learning English with Jesica. I had studied at a college in Canada and was already used to using English, but after returning to Korea, I wanted to continue using English regularly so I wouldn’t lose my fluency. That’s when I found Jesica. One of Jesica’s biggest strengths is that, in addition to having excellent pronunciation and grammar, she is very familiar with the expressions and slang that people actually use in everyday English. Because of this, I can learn English that feels natural and practical rather than just textbook English. I have free-talking lessons with Jesica every day, and we discuss a different topic each time. She is always friendly and makes the conversation feel very comfortable. She asks questions naturally and keeps the conversation going, so I never feel pressured about what to say. Every lesson feels enjoyable and natural. Most importantly, working with Jesica has changed the way I think about English. Instead of feeling like English is something I have to study, I now feel more comfortable simply using it and having conversations. Since we have been studying together consistently for almost two years, I can genuinely say that Jesica has helped me become much more confident and comfortable speaking English. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their conversational English in a natural and enjoyable way. 제시카와 함께 영어를 공부한 지 어느덧 2년이 되어 갑니다. 캐나다에서 컬리지를 다니면서 영어를 계속 사용했지만, 한국에 돌아온 후에도 영어를 잊지 않고 꾸준히 사용하고 싶어서 선생님을 찾게 되었습니다. 그렇게 만나게 된 선생님이 바로 제시카입니다. 제시카의 가장 큰 장점은 정확한 발음과 문법은 물론이고, 실제 영어권 사람들이 일상에서 사용하는 표현이나 요즘의 슬랭까지 자연스럽게 알고 있다는 점입니다. 그래서 교과서적인 영어가 아니라 실제 대화에서 사용할 수 있는 영어를 배울 수 있다는 것이 가장 좋았습니다. 저는 제시카와 매일 다른 주제로 프리토킹 수업을 하고 있는데, 제시카는 항상 친근하고 편안하게 대화를 이끌어줍니다. 제가 무슨 말을 해야 할지 고민하지 않도록 자연스럽게 질문을 이어가 주고, 대화가 끊기지 않도록 잘 이끌어주기 때문에 매 수업이 즐겁습니다. 무엇보다 제시카와 수업을 하면서 영어를 ‘공부해야 하는 것’이라기보다 ‘편하게 사용하는 것’이라고 느끼게 된 것이 가장 큰 변화인 것 같습니다. 오랫동안 꾸준히 함께하고 있는 만큼, 영어 회화를 자연스럽게 늘리고 싶은 분들에게 제시카를 정말 추천하고 싶습니다.

Three years ago, when I first came to Canada, I started taking English lessons because I was very nervous and lacked confidence when speaking English. Since everything in Canada was quite expensive, I was looking for an affordable English class, and that’s how I found Jessica’s lessons. I was lucky to meet Jessica, who not only offered lessons at a very reasonable price but also had excellent pronunciation and amazing teaching skills. One of the things I liked most about her classes was that I had plenty of opportunities to practice everyday English through free conversation. When taking back, my journey to abroad started with the classes with her. tho i was born in korea, thankfully, i had a chance to study in USA when i was youn during 1 and half years. I started taking lessons through an introduction from my uncle. English was very difficult for me, and I had never talked with a foreigner before, so it was very difficult at first. But my teacher made things easy and comfortable for me, so I gradually gained confidence. We mostly talked about everyday life. She listened carefully to my stories, gave me advice, and talked with me. The biggest thing I realized was that communication is not only about language. I learned that through gestures and facial expressions, we can understand the mood of a conversation and share our emotions. I think that even if I happen to meet a foreigner in the future, I won’t be afraid anymore.
